Pope Francis invites everyone to join the Laudato Si’ Week 2023, which will take place from May 21-28 with the theme: “Hope for the Earth. Hope for Humanity”.
Laudato Si’ Week 2023 will be celebrated May 21-28 with the film “The Letter” to mark the eighth anniversary of Pope Francis’ landmark encyclical on care for creation.
Pope Francis establishes an education center on integral ecology in the papal residence of Castel Gandolfo, near Rome, to promote “ecological conversion” as called for in his Encyclical Laudato si’.
The first COP 27 screening of the Letter was presented by the Laudato Si Movement, the Vatican delegation, and the Senegalese government on November 10, 2022. It took place at COP27’s Blue Zone in the Government of Senegal Pavilion. Before the film was shown, Archbishop Nicolas Henry Marie Denis Thévenin, the Apostolic Nuncio to the Arab Republic of Egypt, had a roundtable conversation with Fra. Angel Cortez, OFM, the representative of the Franciscan Delegation, and with other representatives of Catholic organizations.
That was the title of the virtual seminar offered on September 1, 2022, by the Franciscan, Rome Office of Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation.
In order to better understand the Season of Creation 2022 and to live it from our faith and spirituality, both on a personal and fraternal level, five guiding questions are presented with their respective answers and resources.

The theme for the week is “Listening and Journeying Together.” Laudato Si’ Week 2022 is sponsored by the Vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and facilitated by Laudato Si’ Movement in collaboration with a cohort of Catholic partners.
This project wanted to equip the Parish of St Francis of Assisi and the friary of St Francis with a photovoltaic solar plant for collective self-sufficiency, thus reducing the consumption of fossil fuels and increasing the possibility of saving on energy bills
