In the Tempo Forte of January 2024, the General Definitory of the Order of Friars Minor appointed Tomás Insua as a member of the Animation Committee (CA) of the General Office of Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation.
Tomás Insua is originally from Argentina with residence in Rome, Italy. He recently has concluded his work as Executive Director of the Laudato Si’ Movement of which he is also a co-founder. He has been a part of the Brother Francisco Youth House in Buenos Aires, Argentina, managed by the Franciscan Province of San Francisco Solano.
The Animation Committee is made up of the Director and Deputy Director of the General Office, and other members. Its main objective is to collaborate in the realization of projects concerning justice, peace and the integrity of creation that arise from the General Chapter and that are crystallized by the International JPIC Council, of which the AC is a part.
With the current appointment, the AC consists of Mary Wangari Sebastian, LSSJ, Tomás Insua, Francesco Zecca, OFM, Taucen Girsang, OFM, and Daniel Rodríguez Blanco, OFM.
