The Inter-Franciscan Family for Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation or The Roman VI gathered at the Seraphicum in Rome on Wednesday, 8 February 2024.
At this meeting, all the representatives were in complete attendance: Br. Taucen Hotlan Girsang OFM, Br. Michael Lasky OFMConv, Br. Joel de Jesus OFMCap, Sr. Nancy Celaschi OSF, Br. Pietro Ferri OFS, and Br. Carlo Campos TOR.
Br. Michael, as chairperson, opened the meeting by first welcoming Br. Carlos Campos, a representative of TOR (Third Order of Regular of Saint Francis of Penance) to the membership of Roman VI, and then he gave each member the opportunity to briefly introduce themselves. Later, he explained about the meeting’s agenda namely information from each member regarding the JPIC program 2024, collaboration between Roman VI and Franciscans International in accordance with MoU, and the matters of Franciscan Jubilee of the 800 years of Stigmata and the 800 years of the Canticle of the Creatures.
After each agenda item was discussed, to close the meeting, the Roman VI members were invited by Br. Michael, the host, to have a look around the Seraphicum building and the new office of JPIC OFMConventual followed by having lunch together with the conventual friars in the community.
The next meeting will be on Saturday, 23 March 2024.
