The Second Annual Meeting of the JPIC Animation Committee of the Order

Following the International JPIC Council in Petrópolis, the members of the JPIC Animation Committee hold their second annual meeting from November 28 to December 1 at the historic convent of San Antonio, located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Br. Angelito Cortez, OFM; Br Jacek Orzechowski, OFM; Br. Francesco Zecca, OFM and Br. Daniel Rodríguez Blanco, OFM, worked on the final revision to the Petrópolis 2022 Declaration based on the suggestions offered by the participants during the last session of the International Council.

Another objective set for the meeting was the evaluation of the activities carried out by the JPIC General Office during 2022.  Likewise, the JPIC Animation Committee worked on the final articulation of the projected JPIC goals for 2023 based on the three general action guides that the International Council has set out for all the Conferences of the Order.  Those are: conversion; climate justice and integral ecology; migrants and refugees; and Non-violence and construction of peace.

Finally, a schedule was prepared that will guide the agenda of the JPIC General Office for the upcoming year.
